Kirsten Simone Vangsness is an American actress and playwright who was in the spotlight by playing 'Penelope Garcia' in the crime procedural police drama series, 'Criminal minds'. The actress has also been featured in its two spin-off shows 'Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior' and 'Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.' Kirsten Vangsness has been featured in other TV programs in addition. Since her first appearance in show business in the year 1998, she has played a number of small roles in films. In the film industry, she is known for her roles on "In My Dreams", "The Chicago 8" and "Kill Me Deadly". Apart from writing pieces for 'The Los Angeles Times', she also co-wrote of three episodes on Criminal Minds. She frequently rescues and rehabilitates abandoned or injured cats.
